Description: uReach Technologies is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Services Delivery Platform team. This position is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle for the company's messaging and call processing platform. The candidate will perform a wide range of software development tasks and provide technical leadership. Tasks may include to specify, design and implement next generation telecommunications products and maintain existing products. To create and review functional specifications, design documents and technical specifications. To produce and present architectural and development guidelines and best practices. Must be comfortable interfacing with the Product Management, Systems Engineering, and Support Teams within uReach. Will likely provide escalation point for Tiers 3 and 4 for field issues.

Position Technical Requirements:
  • Extraordinary system software architecture skills
  • Experience in designing high speed distributed systems with superior scaling and robust failover characteristics
  • Solid internal technical knowledge of one or more of Solaris or Linux
  • Deep understanding of IP protocols including SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, SIP/RTP
  • 5+ years of experience in C, and C++
Position Personal Skill Set Requirements:
  • Ability to facilitate, educate and lead architectural consensus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills: ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to engineers, executives and customers
  • Ability to understand requirements and architectures of multiple platform subsystems and to extract general platform capabilities from application-specific requirements
  • Able to lead by vision and example
  • A solid track record of product development and delivery
Minimum Requirements:
  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in the field of software engineering with a wide background in UNIX networking and software
