Features
Media Library
The library is a convenient and secure place to store photos, audio files, and video files. Each type of media is stored separately and allows simple editing and other interactions. All items sent into PM are always kept safe in the Media Library, unless the subscriber specifically deletes them. The Media Library itself is private, not shared, though any item in the Library can be shared via shared albums or other channels.
Many Ways to Save Media
PM supports multiple methods of storing media. Items, including pictures, audio files, and videos, can be directly "uploaded" from the PM web interface; they can be sent into PM from any e-mail account, provided that the account is on the "allowed list" for the PM Library; or they can be sent directly via MMS from the subscriber's phone. Since PM takes advantage of existing MMS clients and servers, as well as standard e-mail, no special client software is needed to use PM and it can work with any PC or handset that supports the media.
Shared Albums
For anyone wanting to share photos via the internet, PM supports creation of shared "Albums". These albums can contain any mix of Photos, Videos, or Audio files and can be shared via the internet. To share an album, the subscriber sends an invitation to share via the PM service and the recipient of that e-mail can then click on a link to view the content of the album.
Publishing to Channels
PM offers an additional way to share photos with friends. The service allows direct publishing onto social networks such as Facebook or MySpace. PM can also directly send photos to printing services such as Snapfish or Ofoto. PM does this using "Channels". Once set up, the channels directly publish photos using a "Widget" for services that support that, or they can provide RSS feeds to other locations. For photo printing sites, PM can directly mail photos to the desired service, or to anyone else.
